Doug is a Managing Partner at Phoenix Development Partners, where he focuses on the sourcing of new deals, the overall development process and capital raising. Doug joined the firm in 2019, reuniting with John Mangel after over 25 years at notable commercial real estate companies such as Disney and Pritzker Realty Group. An expert in land development and master-planning, Doug has led the development of numerous communities, including Baldwin Park and Celebration, Disney’s award-winning vision of the ideal American town. His experience includes the development of over 15,000 lots, 2.5 million square feet of commercial space, as well as the management of over $100 million of assets. A graduate of Denison University with an MBA from UNC’s Keenan-Flagler Business School, Doug lives in Highland Park, IL, where he enjoys playing tennis, paddle tennis and golf. Doug also enjoys spending time in Jackson Hole where he is a member of the YPO Jackson Hole Chapter.
