Michael is Phoenix Development Partners’ COO, focusing on new development and overseeing all aspects of managing and operating the firm’s existing assets. With over 30 years of experience in hospitality – including 15 years at Disney where he first met John Mangel and Doug Freedman — Michael joined Phoenix in 2018. An expert in operations, at Disney Michael led an analytical and strategic support team for six theme parks, two water parks, 20 hotels with 25,000 hotel rooms, and 500+ F+B venues. He was also a core member of the Shanghai Negotiation Team, which helped create a $4 billion capital project with annual revenues of more than $500 million. Michael graduated from Penn State University and received a Masters of Management in Hospitality (MMH) degree from Cornell University. He and his wife live in Raleigh, NC.
